Messages and participation
See total messages, words, questions, links and each participant’s count and share. Group chats add member comparisons rather than forcing a two-person view.
Free private WhatsApp chat statistics tool
Turn one exported WhatsApp conversation into a clear statistics report. Count messages by participant, compare reply times, find busy hours and days, explore recurring words and emoji, review media, streaks and chat records, and verify the numbers in the full dashboard—all without giving MyChatWrap access to your WhatsApp account.

WhatsApp chat statistics are measurable facts calculated from a chat export: total messages, each participant’s share, activity over time, median reply intervals, conversation starts, frequently used words and emoji, media events, streaks, pauses and records. MyChatWrap reads the .txt or .zip export in your browser and turns those timestamps, senders and message types into charts and tables. The statistics describe the exported period; they do not reveal motives, feelings or relationship quality.
These previews use the same Overview components as the product with a versioned fictional chat. They show how participant metrics, recurring words and reciprocity appear after import—not results from a real conversation.

See total messages, words, questions, links and each participant’s count and share. Group chats add member comparisons rather than forcing a two-person view.
Compare eligible reply intervals with median and distribution views. Reply attribution follows message order and conversation windows, so it is a timing estimate—not a read-receipt history.
Explore messages by date, month, weekday and hour, including a weekday-by-hour heatmap, active days and the busiest measured periods.
Find recurring normalized words and emoji, compare participant usage and inspect changes over time. Frequency records repetition, not meaning or sentiment.
Review recognized photos, videos, GIFs, stickers, voice notes and documents alongside conversation starts, questions and consecutive-message runs.
Find the longest daily streak, longest silence, busiest day, longest message, fastest eligible reply and biggest measured message burst.
Open the contact or group in WhatsApp, choose Export chat and save the .txt file. A .zip may be created when media is included.
Drop the original .txt or .zip above. MyChatWrap parses supported messages, timestamps, participants and attachment labels locally in your browser.
Open Overview to compare charts, tables and records. Change the date range and use the focused tools when you need the exact method behind one statistic.
Two minutes on your phone. Choose your device, follow the taps, then come back and add the file above.
Watch the whole flow — export from WhatsApp, then drop the file into this app.
The report begins with scale and participation: messages, words, active days, date range and participant shares. It then organizes timing, vocabulary, media and interaction measures into separate sections so unlike units are not mixed into one score.
Available cards depend on the chat. A long two-person conversation can support reply and reciprocity comparisons; a group can support member rankings and pair patterns. A short or incomplete export may omit statistics that need more evidence.
MyChatWrap parses the sender, timestamp and content type of each recognizable exported entry. Counts come directly from those parsed entries. Time-based statistics group timestamps into calendar periods; reply statistics measure eligible changes of sender inside defined conversation windows; word and topic panels apply published deterministic rules.
These calculations are reproducible, but an export is not a live WhatsApp database. Deleted messages, missing history, unsupported system lines and media absent from the package cannot be reconstructed. Time-zone and localized export formatting can also affect what is recognized.
Use WhatsApp Statistics when your question is broad: “What are the main numbers and patterns in this chat?” Use Message Counter when you only need an exact message total and participant split. Use the focused reply-time, words, heatmap, emoji or media pages when one metric is your main search.
The Chat Analyzer is the product destination behind this report. It offers the complete interactive Overview, comparisons, filters and evidence. This page is the plain-language entry point for people specifically searching for WhatsApp statistics or WhatsApp chat statistics.
Both one-to-one and group exports are supported. A personal chat emphasizes side-by-side participant measures, while a group report can compare many members, contribution shares, active times, words, emoji, media and reply pairs.
A higher count does not make somebody more important, caring or influential. Group size, roles, work schedules, forwarded content and the selected export period all shape the numbers.
Statistics can answer who, how many and when. They cannot reliably answer why. A slower median reply may reflect work, sleep, time zones or missing history. A larger message share can come from short acknowledgements while fewer, longer messages carry more text.
Read several independent metrics together, inspect the selected period and return to source messages where the dashboard provides evidence. Do not use a chart as a diagnosis, compatibility score or verdict about a person.
The standard import, parsing and deterministic statistics run in your browser. MyChatWrap does not require your WhatsApp login, cannot read other conversations and does not store the chat content on its server. You choose the export, the period and whether to save or share any result.
