Each recognized message is assigned to a fixed UTC hour bucket from 00:00 through 23:00. The bucket with the highest message count is the busiest hour. If two hours tie, the first hour encountered in bucket order remains the displayed winner. The total combines every date in the selected export and is not converted to each participant’s local time.
This is the same Overview chart component used by the product, filled with fictional UTC-hour counts so you can see the peak in its 24-hour context.

The calculator aggregates the UTC hour component of every recognized message timestamp. It does not select one particular date; 21:00 UTC, for example, includes messages assigned to that bucket across the entire exported period.
The displayed peak is the bucket with the maximum count. The Overview chart and accessible table preserve the other 23 buckets for comparison.
The product scans hour buckets in order and replaces the leader only when a later bucket has a strictly greater count. If two buckets share the maximum, the earlier bucket remains the displayed busiest hour.
The full table makes tied values visible even though a single summary record needs one label.
This calculator answers one focused question across all days: which UTC hour contains the most messages? The WhatsApp Chat Heatmap combines weekday and hour, so Tuesday at 21:00 remains distinct from Friday at 21:00.
Use the calculator for a simple peak bucket and the heatmap for day-and-hour patterns.
A UTC peak can reflect work schedules, travel, different time zones or a short intense period. It does not prove that this is the best local time to contact someone.
Incomplete history and clock handling can shift the distribution, so describe it as the busiest UTC hour in this export.
Standard import, parsing and calculation run in your browser. MyChatWrap does not connect to your WhatsApp account or store message content on its server. The selected import remains in that browser’s local app database until you remove it.
