Count URL occurrences
Count each recognizable link found in exported message content.
Private WhatsApp link counter
Find how many recognizable URLs appear in an exported conversation and who shared them. The WhatsApp Link Counter counts link occurrences, participant totals and supported period history without claiming to know whether anyone opened, trusted or acted on a link.

MyChatWrap scans exported message content with its URL pattern. Every recognizable link occurrence contributes to the total, so one message containing three URLs adds three links while the message itself remains one message. Links are attributed to the sender when available. The tool counts shared URLs; it does not track clicks, previews, forwards or conversions.
The preview uses the same Links shared MetricCard as Dashboard › Overview with fictional counts and an accessible summary.

The engine applies a deterministic link pattern to each message’s exported content. Each matched occurrence increments the chat total and, when a sender exists, that participant’s count.
A message can contain zero, one or several matches. The counter measures URL occurrences rather than messages containing URLs.
A WhatsApp chat export does not report whether a participant tapped a URL, watched a linked video, completed a purchase or forwarded the message elsewhere.
The count also does not rate safety or accuracy. Treat unfamiliar links cautiously and do not assume popularity means trustworthiness.
This page answers the supported question: how many detectable URLs did each person share? It does not yet group links by domain or platform.
A future Shared Link Analyzer requires a verified domain-normalization feature before its own page can be published. Keeping those intents separate prevents the Link Counter from advertising nonexistent domain rankings.
Malformed text, unsupported protocols, line parsing issues and content absent from the export can reduce the total. Link previews alone may not supply a usable URL.
Use the original export and Messages search when validating an unexpected result.
Standard import, parsing and deterministic counting run in your browser. MyChatWrap does not connect to your WhatsApp account or store message content on its server. The selected import remains in that browser’s local app database until you remove it.
