Consecutive-message gaps
Measure the time between every adjacent parsed message.
Private WhatsApp longest silence calculator
Find the largest time gap between consecutive parsed messages in an exported conversation. MyChatWrap reports its duration, preserves the surrounding timestamps and identifies the sender who broke the silence—while clearly warning that missing history can exaggerate the result.

After ordering parsed messages chronologically, MyChatWrap measures the timestamp difference between every consecutive pair and keeps the largest. There is no minimum threshold for the single longest-silence record. The “broken by” participant is the sender of the later message, and its message becomes the evidence jump target. The statistic cannot tell why the gap happened.
The preview uses the same Hall of Fame card from Dashboard › Overview with fictional data, including the participant who resumed the chat.

Watch the whole flow — export from WhatsApp, then drop the file into this app.
For each parsed message after the first, the calculator subtracts the previous message timestamp. When that difference is larger than the stored maximum, it becomes the new longest silence.
The record stores the earlier and later timestamps, the later sender as the person who broke the silence and the later message as its dashboard jump target.
The single longest-silence record has no minimum threshold: it always reflects the largest adjacent gap available when at least two messages exist. A separate silence timeline records only gaps of at least 24 hours to avoid filling the interface with ordinary pauses.
Those are two views of the same timestamp data with different presentation goals.
A cleared chat, partial export, device migration or unavailable history can place two surviving messages next to each other even when other messages once existed between them. The measured gap will then look longer than the real conversational silence.
Treat the output as the longest gap in this export, not guaranteed lifetime history.
It means the named participant sent the later message in the maximum-gap pair. It does not prove they apologized, repaired a conflict, initiated a relationship milestone or were responsible for the earlier pause.
Use the evidence link to inspect available context rather than interpreting the attribution as blame or credit.
Standard import, parsing and calculation run in your browser. MyChatWrap does not connect to your WhatsApp account or store message content on its server. The selected import remains in that browser’s local app database until you remove it.
