Question-bearing messages
Count messages matching the analytics engine’s supported question pattern.
Private WhatsApp question counter
Count messages that contain recognizable question punctuation and compare participants. The WhatsApp Question Counter shows totals, shares and supported period history from an exported chat without treating questions as a measure of curiosity, care or conversational quality.

MyChatWrap checks each exported message for a supported question marker. A message that matches counts as one question-bearing message, even if it contains several question marks. The result is attributed to its sender and displayed in the real participant comparison. It counts punctuation-based signals, not the number of grammatical questions or the speaker’s intent.
This fictional preview uses the same Question askers MetricCard as Dashboard › Overview. The accessible values beside it explain exactly what the count represents.

The counter detects a supported question marker in message content. It measures messages that look like questions according to that deterministic rule.
Several question marks inside one message still produce one question-bearing message. Conversely, a question written without recognizable punctuation may not count.
No. Questions include quick checks, rhetorical phrases, repeated punctuation, quoted text and practical requests. The metric cannot infer curiosity, attention or emotional investment.
Interpret the total with the export period, message volume and source context rather than declaring a winner in the relationship.
Two-person chats receive a side-by-side comparison. Group imports can attribute question-bearing messages to multiple recognized members.
Different roles affect the result: a group organizer, support agent or teacher may naturally ask more questions.
The rule relies on recognizable punctuation rather than full grammatical analysis, which makes it reproducible but intentionally limited.
Missing history, unsupported lines and messages outside the export cannot be counted.
Standard import, parsing and deterministic counting run in your browser. MyChatWrap does not connect to your WhatsApp account or store message content on its server. The selected import remains in that browser’s local app database until you remove it.
