Private WhatsApp night owl checker
Measure late-night WhatsApp activity from message timestamps and see which hours dominate. MyChatWrap defines the night window as 11 p.m. through 4 a.m. in its fixed UTC activity buckets, shows its share of the chat and provides the real hourly breakdown for context.

MyChatWrap treats messages in the six fixed UTC hourly buckets 23:00, 00:00, 01:00, 02:00, 03:00 and 04:00 as night activity. The night share is those messages divided by all messages in the 24 buckets, rounded to the nearest whole percent. It describes the analyzer’s timestamp buckets—not sleep, availability or local lifestyle.
The preview uses the same Activity by hour chart shown in Dashboard › Overview, populated with fictional data and the published UTC night window.

The checker adds the message counts in UTC hour buckets 23, 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4. It divides that sum by the total across all 24 buckets and rounds the percentage to the nearest integer.
The same fixed window is used consistently in the product. It is a practical analytics definition, not a medical or cultural definition of nighttime.
The current analytics engine stores activity in fixed UTC hour buckets, and the chart labels those same UTC buckets. It does not convert each participant’s messages to their physical local time.
Travel, daylight-saving changes and people living in different zones can make the result differ from remembered local clock time. Interpret the chart with that limitation in mind.
Night share combines six UTC hours. Busiest hour selects one hourly bucket with the largest message count. A chat can have a high night share without its single peak hour being inside that window, or the reverse.
Use the hourly chart to see whether activity is concentrated in one bucket or spread across the window.
A timestamp bucket cannot show whether someone was awake for work, traveling, replying later, scheduling around family or living elsewhere.
The result should not be used to diagnose sleep habits or measure closeness. It is simply an activity distribution from the selected file.
Standard import, parsing and calculation run in your browser. MyChatWrap does not connect to your WhatsApp account or store message content on its server. The selected import remains in that browser’s local app database until you remove it.
